What's New this week

Add Quick Conversation's to an existing Conversation Thread – One of Powow's most powerful features is its ability to thread Conversations together. Powow's Conversation Wizard processes the Conversation and then creates an in-depth record of the conversations you and your colleagues have had.

The Quick Add wizard is a simplified version of Powow's main Conversation wizard. It provides you with a faster way to add shorter (140 character) conversations and tasks that do not require additional information, such as meeting schedules or tasks.

We've added a button in the Action column which will now link the Quick Conversation to an existing conversation. Once clicked, the new button loads the Quick Conversation wizard. When the conversation is sent, Powow takes care of linking it to the existing conversation thread and contact.

International Time Zones - Powow's new Time Zone Feature displays the current local time for an open contact tab. The Time Zone feature is particularly useful when communicating with International clients, partners and suppliers.

Milestones, A new addition to Powow's Tasks and Events - We've added a great new feature to complement Powow's conversation Timer and Meetings Schedules called Milestones. A Milestone is an important event or turning point and can be assigned to any of Powow's current conversation methods. Conversations with Milestones are displayed in Powow's ToDo list and also in our new calendar diary application (see below for more info about Diary24-7).

Location, Location, Location - Location is a new feature added to Powow's Conversation Wizard, which can add an Event location to a conversation. For example, you could select a meeting address from your list of internal branches or select the current contacts address (such as your client's office). If needed, you can enter a completely new address in the box provided. Once saved, Powow automatically sends the meeting details including the venue address, scheduled time and duration to all the meeting attendees.

Hold the press, Two new applications are coming to the TacTic 24-7 Suite - We are excited to announce the up and coming releases of Diary24-7 our shared calendar diary service for all Powow Events and Survey24-7 our Marketing and PR survey service.

Diary247 will display all Powow appointments, milestones and events in a familiar calendar format that can be shared with all colleagues. You can combine multiple diaries to give you a clear picture of the scheduled activities throughout your team, department or company. Diaries can be viewed in daily, weekly or monthly formats with full search capabilities. Finally, you can now schedule conflict-free appointments or meetings with colleagues and external contacts as Powow will notify you of any diary clashes and point out each individual’s availability.

Survey247 will enable you to create marketing, PR and training surveys for internal and external contacts. Using a simple wizard, any type of question can be easily defined in a survey and then published for open access (i.e. public survey) or directed to specific contacts (i.e. private survey). Using Powow, you can choose the audience for the distribution of the survey and monitor the progress of each response. Private surveys carry unique tokens to guarantee that the response is coming from the chosen audience and that the survey is not repeated. Finally, Survey247 will allow you to analyse the results and produce reports.

Stay tuned for more information, including the trial release dates.

Evolution of Business Software as a Service

In the old days, you bought the software licenses, installed the applications on your computers (or server), paid a great deal for the maintenance contract, incurred variable support costs and suffered through a seemingly perpetual cycle of time-consuming, productivity-killing, money-devouring upgrades.

Omigaman’s modern way: you pay a monthly fee for the business application and we maintain everything (the application, the database, the hardware, backups, security, support and business continuance). Best of all, you will access it all via the Internet.
